Initial Consultation
We begin with a conversation about your space, requirements, and vision. This may take place in person, at your location, or through detailed correspondence. We discuss function, materials, dimensions, and the character you wish the piece to have.
Design Development
Based on our initial consultation, we develop design proposals. These may include sketches, material samples, and detailed discussions about proportions and construction. We refine the design through an iterative process, ensuring it aligns with your vision and our material-led approach.
Material Selection
We work with you to select materials that complement the design and your space. We provide samples and discuss how each material will contribute to the final piece. This process is material-driven, with each selection informing the overall narrative of the furniture.
Commission Agreement
Once the design and materials are agreed upon, we formalise the commission with a detailed agreement. This includes specifications, timeline, and terms. We maintain clear communication throughout the process.
Crafting
The piece is crafted in our studio, with attention to detail and timeless construction. We work with traditional and contemporary techniques, always prioritising quality and material expression. You may visit the studio during this phase if you wish.
Delivery
Upon completion, we arrange delivery and installation. We ensure the piece is properly positioned and that you are satisfied with the final result. Each commission is unique, and we take care to ensure it meets the agreed specifications.
Timeline
The timeline for each commission varies depending on the complexity of the piece, material availability, and current studio commitments. We discuss timelines during the initial consultation and provide regular updates throughout the process.
Most commissions take between three and six months from agreement to completion, though this can vary.
