Material-Led Design
Our approach to bespoke furniture is fundamentally material-driven. We work with a carefully curated selection of materials, each chosen for its inherent qualities and how it contributes to the overall narrative of the piece.
Every material tells a story through its texture, grain, weight, and response to light. We select materials that speak to the architectural character of the space and the functional requirements of the commission.
European Hardwoods
We work with European hardwoods including oak, walnut, ash, and beech. Each timber is selected for its grain pattern, colour, and structural properties.
Our timbers are sourced from sustainable suppliers, and we work with both new and reclaimed materials, depending on the requirements of the commission.
Aged Brass
Brass details and hardware add warmth and refinement to our furniture pieces. We use aged brass for its patina and how it develops character over time.
Brass is often used for drawer pulls, table legs, and structural details, providing both function and visual interest.
Natural Stone
Stone surfaces bring weight and permanence to furniture pieces. We work with marble, limestone, and slate, selecting each slab for its unique character.
Stone is often used for table tops and surfaces, creating a dialogue between the organic and the architectural.
Fine Textiles
For seating and upholstered pieces, we work with fine textiles including linen, wool, and leather. Each fabric is chosen for its texture, durability, and aesthetic contribution.
We collaborate with textile specialists to source materials that complement the overall design narrative of each commission.
